A public affairs and economic development executive with over two decades of experience, Bryan Starr served as an executive officer for the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce from 2017 to 2024. A resident of Southern California, Bryan Starr is involved with several national business advocacy organizations, including the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Major Cities Council and the US Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100.

A political science graduate of San Diego State University, Mr. Starr began his career as junior staff to the powerful Committee on Ways and Means, US House of Representatives. After retuning to California, Starr served as director of public affairs for STA Campaigns in Newport Beach. He later served as director of government affairs for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Southern California for one year before being appointed as deputy executive officer for the Building Industry Association of Orange County in Irvine. Mr. Starr held this role for six years before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer, during which he led a high-performing team over several departments, managed organizational budgets, and developed the association's advocacy strategy.

Bryan Starr’s expertise includes managing public affairs and government relations, strategic planning, budget management, and communications. His other noteworthy role was as senior vice president of government affairs for the Orange County Business Council from 2012 to 2017.

Throughout his career, Mr. Starr has received various awards and recognition, including the 2019 Western Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives "Executive of the Year", National Association of Homebuilders 2008 Award of Excellence for “Best Government Affairs/Lobbying Effort,” the 2019 US Small Business Administration Inland/Orange County Chapter Community Excellence Award, and Orange Council Business Journal’s 500 Most Influential for five consecutive years from 2019 to 2023.
